What is the OZBedandBreakfast.com Gift Certificate program?
This program is a risk-free way for innkeepers to find new guests, and is
entirely separate from the gift certificates you sell at your inn, or those
offered by your state or local association. OZBedandBreakfast.com promotes its
gift certificates to tens of thousands of travellers throughout its website, via
special emails and newsletters, through press releases and media
advertisements, and through partner distribution websites that specialize in
the sale of gift certificates and gift registries.
How does the program work?
Gift certificates are purchased via the OZBedandBreakfast.com website, in either
printed or electronic form. Guests present their gift certificates when payment
is made. All redemptions and most payments are made online. If you do not have
Internet access, we apologize, but this program will not work for you.
Do I have to be a member of OZBedandBreakfast.com to participate in this
program?
Yes. You need to be a Blue Ribbon member. If you are NOT a member, please

How do I redeem the gift certificates?
Once you sign up for this program, we will send you detailed instructions on
how to easily redeem the certificates online. You can also
log in to your
profile with your email address and password. From your profile, select "Gift Certificates" from the
menu, then click Gift
Certificate Redemptions to redeem certificates and track the status of your
payments. OZBedandBreakfast.com will pay you 85% of the dollar amount of every
certificate you redeem. Payments are made via Direct Deposit,
officially known as Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to your
bank account within four business days. Nothing to fold, lick, address or stamp. And best of
all, no wait for your money!
What is Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)?
More commonly known as Direct Deposit, the
ASIC explains that Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) provides for
electronic payments and collections. "EFT is safe, secure, efficient, and less
expensive than paper check payments and collections."
How will people know I'm participating? How will travellers buy the gift
certificates?
Travellers can use several different search tools on OZBedandBreakfast.com to find
properties that accept our gift certificates. A gift certificate participation icon will also be displayed
in search results listing. Travellers buy the gift certificates online
and receive the certificate(s) via email or
standard mail shortly there after. They have up to one year to redeem
certificates at any of the participating properties.
What does it cost me?
Although OZBedandBreakfast.com retains a 15 percent commission on the face value
of each gift certificate, your actual cost will be closer to 7.5 percent, since
guests often spend double the value of their certificates.
You must also be a Blue Ribbon member.
Who's eligible?
Any Australian based bed and breakfast.
Do Gift Certificates expire?
Yes. Gift Certificates are valid for one year from the date
of issue, except where prohibited by law.
Are Gift Certificates transferable?
Yes. Although the name on the certificate does not need to match the guest's
name, the certificate and order numbers must be accurate for
